Il Louvre, il Prado, the National Gallery are great galleries in the world, and when you think of a museum you can imagine those large buildings full of rooms with hundreds of articles related to the subject to be treated.
You feel you have all the time in the world to walk among the exhibits and enjoy the space to admire the collections shown. What we cannot imagine is that in small spaces a museum can be located. A red telephone booth in England, specifically in the county of West Yorkshire, has what could be the smallest museum in the world.
The use of mobile phones has made telephone booths obsolete, so the British Telecommunications (BT) company wanted to dismantle them, but this icon of the United Kingdom could not disappear, so they began to have other uses, from kiosks to libraries.
Warley museum
In some places, these traditional empty call centers have been preserved as simple memories of history, while others have wanted to give meaning, as in the town of Warley Town , where they decided to turn one of them into a museum. The Warley Museum opened in October 2016, with an exhibition of ancient artifacts and souvenirs donated by neighbors.

The museum is located opposite the Maypole Inn, in the center of the village of Warley, and is free to the public, although it can only be visited by one person at a time due to its small size. The exhibition varies every three months with new objects.
Warley’s neighbors wanted to inscribe it in the Guinness book of records as the ‘smallest official museum in the world’, but this title is in dispute, there are others who also want it, such as the Smallest Museum in the World in the town from Superior, Arizona (USA), located in a small barn; or the Museum located in an old elevator shaft in New York City (USA); or the Hoosesagg Museum in Basel (Switzerland) in a shop window, among others.
