Advice for those who want to be in control of their health
Very often between work commitments, family and home, in everyday life we completely forget to take care of ourselves, to do those little checks that can guarantee us that we are leading a healthy life enjoying excellent health, or if we are problems are big or small, ensuring we get them under control through medications and visits.
But how do we keep our bodies in check? How do we make sure we are well and take care of ourselves?
The first step is to stop in the big wheel of our daily life and think a little about our well-being, so to start I would recommend a healthy diet followed by a nutritionist, sports and the intake of supplements rich in vitamins at every change of season.
Going into more detail, I advise everyone not to overlook any anomalies noticed in the body, such as a mole that has changed shape or an enlarged lymph node, I recommend going to the gynecologist once a year to prevent infections and tumors of the uterus. For the man to the urologist to prevent prostate problems, bladder infections.
If the woman takes birth control pills it is important that she does not smoke or smoke less to avoid thrombosis and these blood tests are recommended:
- Coagulation, PT, PTT, Functional fibrinogen
The blood tests to do every year in my opinion to keep everything under control are:
- Hepatitis / HIV
- Blood exam completed
- Transaminases
- Iron / ferritin
- Coagulation
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B12
- Cholesterol / triglycerides
- Glycemia
- Thyroid
- Urine tests
If a person suffers from hypertension, also do annual analyzes of:
- Potassium
- Sodium
- Triglycerides
- Glycemia
- Blood exam completed
- Creatinine
- Total cholesterol
- HDL cholestorol
- LDL cholestorol
- Uricemia
- Urine examination
- Thyroid hormones
Tests for those with low blood pressure instead:
- Urine tests
- Electrocardiogram
- Echocardiogram with stress test
- Complete blood tests
- Chest X-ray
They are small tests to be done annually to be safer and to help the functioning of our health, I advise not to overlook any type of problem that can occur and with these small gestures we can really save our lives.
